A one day introduction to making beautiful prints and cards directly from autumn leaves collected and ferns and herbs. in the class you will learn how to apply ink to plants and discover the magic of printing the leaves directly onto paper and cards through the printing press. You will acquire skills in how to use rollers to apply ink and how to use the press. You will be able to explore printing leaves on paper, envelopes and tote bag.
Please bring a selection of leaves to print. The following print easily but always good to try experiments: Tree leaves, ferns, rosemary and fennel leaves.
By the end of the class you will take home individual prints on paper, cards with envelopes and a hand printed tote bag. All materials are supplied. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee available.
