A one day introduction to Linocutting. In the class you will learn how to transfer, carve and discover the magic of printing an image of your choice.
You will acquire skills in how to use a range of linocutting tools and techniques to carve your lino. How to use ink rollers and the press to print your image.
We will explore creative approaches to lino printmaking. You will be introduced to examples of work by lino cutting artists to understand possible techniques and ideas.
Please bring a post card sized image of your choice –
Your pet, flowers, your garden a view from your window, any image that you like ! This can be a photo, a drawing or a postcard.
By the end of each class you will take home finished prints and hand printed cards with envelopes as an option.
All materials are supplied . Please bring a pack lunch. Tea and coffee available.
Bring an apron or old shirt.
